Throughout my career as an Environmental Psychologist, I have conducted extensive research on the impact of environmental factors on individuals’ sense of spirituality and transcendence. This research has allowed me to gain valuable insights into the intricate relationship between the environment and the spiritual well-being of individuals.
One significant study I conducted focused on the influence of natural environments on individuals’ spiritual experiences. We explored how exposure to natural settings, such as forests or mountains, can elicit a sense of awe and connectedness to something greater than oneself. Through surveys, interviews, and observations, we found that individuals who regularly spent time in natural environments reported higher levels of spirituality and transcendence compared to those who did not have such experiences.
