In my experience, I have found that music therapy offers a non-threatening and creative outlet for individuals with personality disorders to express their emotions and explore their inner selves. Music has the power to tap into deep emotional states and provide a means of communication that may be difficult to express verbally.
One approach I have successfully used is improvisation.
