In my practice, I have utilized art therapy as a means of facilitating self-expression and communication among older adults. Through various art forms, such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and collage-making, I have witnessed significant breakthroughs in my clients’ ability to express their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Art therapy provides a non-verbal outlet for older adults who may struggle with verbal communication due to cognitive decline or other limitations.
