My approach to mental health screenings typically involves a multi-tiered process. In Tier 1, I utilize universal screening measures, such as the Student Risk Screening Scale (SRS), to identify students who exhibit elevated symptoms of emotional or behavioral concerns. Students who meet specific cutoff scores are referred for further evaluation in Tier 2.
During Tier 2 evaluations, I conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with students, gathering detailed information about their developmental history, current functioning, and presenting concerns.
