My work with children with neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring intellectual disabilities has been a rewarding and challenging part of my career as a child psychologist. I have had the opportunity to work with children of all ages, from toddlers to adolescents, with a variety of disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, intellectual disability, and learning disabilities.
In my work with these children, I have found that it is important to use a variety of therapeutic approaches, tailored to the individual needs of the child. I often use play therapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy to help children express themselves and work through their challenges.
